A new team will be responsible for the startup days of Startup Invest in 2021 and will refresh the event. The team attracted already a first keynote speaker from one of the most prominent global VCs. Pre-registration is open.

Since 2004, the startup days have been connecting the best Swiss startups with investors, bringing together the crucial players of the community and thereby boosting the startup ecosystem all over the country. The established startup days take place in a refreshed version on 27 May 2021, at the “Kursaal” in Bern. Dominik Isler and Fabian Wassmer, formerly Swiss Economic Forum are organizing the event on behalf of Startup Invest association.

The renewed startup days promise to connect and inspire participants online and offline with an exciting mix of national and international keynote speakers and over 30 participative sessions in a modular system which allows to design individual conference programs.

One of the keynote speakers will be Yanni Pipilis, a managing partner at the SoftBank Vision Fund and based in London. The fund has invested in companies like Uber, We Work, Slack and DoorDash, a food delivery start-up that went public on 10 December and had a valuation of $60 billion after the first trading day. Softbank has also invested in several companies founded or active in Switzerland including GetYourGuide, Energy Vault and Roivant.

Although there will be a number of innovations, some well-proven elements are continued. These include one-to-one meetings and a pitching track for start-ups. Applications for the pitching track will open in spring. The event on 27 May will be preceded by an invitation only pre-conference launch event in Bern on 26 May in the evening. The startup days take place online as well as offline and in compliance with the prevailing guidelines regarding COVID-19.

It is already possible to register for Early Bird tickets. The prices for these tickets are CHF290 for start-ups and CHF590 for investors, corporates etc. Deadline for Early Bird tickets is 15 January.
