ProfiCircle transfers headquarter to Switzerland

Companies from the e-commerce sector require tens of thousands of new storage spaces or pickup points, including automated solutions, to meet growing market demands for speedy delivery. To help them optimise the warehouse or commercial space, ProfiCircle offers an easy-to-use and the first online platform for storage systems.

Born in Romania in 2019, the SaaS platform enables SMEs to source, buy, collaborate, finance and manage long-term online projects in a single digital platform, across multiple sellers and service providers (manufacturers, dealers, carriers and others), without needing an intermediary.

The platform has many features, such as multi-level auctions for pricing transparency and access to financial solutions (full-service leasing). On ProfiCircle, buyers can also find digital solutions and automation systems. Customers conclude acquisitions in a few days instead of months, with a full-service lease, compared to 94% cash required today. The company thus has made its mission to digitise the outdated commercial equipment procurement industry, a market estimated at $350 billion globally.

Early traction and growth
Sixteen FTEs working at ProfiCircle have helped grow the business and its features. In May this year, they launched the extended version of the platform with more features such as online RFP completion, multiple auctions, integration with ZOOM, Docusign, Stripe, etc. In October, the Beta 2.0 version will go live.

Since becoming operational in 2020, ProfiCircle has recorded over 70 transactions and works with over 65 suppliers for material and equipment handling from Italy, France, Germany and Romania. Demand from the DACH region is also increasing, an opportunity ProfiCirlce seeks to exploit.

New headquarters in Neuchâtel
The company transferred its headquarters from Romania to Switzerland, establishing ProfiCircle SA in Neuchâtel. The Romanian company will become a subsidiary hosting the company’s software development, customer support, and other activities. In the DACH region, the company is now ready to take off – the company has recruited its head of Sales expert and two additional team members. More employees in Switzerland are yet to be hired. There is also a dedicated team of collaborators on the Swiss market.

Commenting on the decision to move to Switzerland, CEO and Co-founder Eduard Daniliuc said to Startupticker that ProfiCircle aims to strengthen its activities in the DACH region, which also serves as its primary market. “The business development requires the presence in the respective countries. The coordination of the activities is hard to manage from Romania,” states Daniliuc. Besides having the company's first investor in the area, Switzerland’s position in central Europe, legal structure, and availability of experienced top management also compelled ProfiCirle to settle in the country.

The company’s activities are growing by the day, with plans to expand to other areas beyond the German-speaking countries. The next stage will see the expansion to Italy, France, Benelux.
