Extensive investigations are already underway for the first routes, including ambitious plans for further 49 connections.
At the heart of Jedsy's innovation lies a new concept for the logistics industry: direct docking of their delivery drones at the recipient's window or balcony, resulting in high speed and precision in medical supply delivery. Jedsy's docking stations, which also serve as charging ports, automate delivery, eliminate the need for in-house distribution and increase overall logistics efficiency.
Jedsy announced a multi-million dollar deal with Medilys (a division of Asklepios focussing on laboratory and diagnostic services) at the UP.Summit in Dallas last week. Asklepios, a heavyweight in Germany's healthcare landscape since its founding in 1985, boasts nearly 170 facilities and a workforce of over 67,000 professionals.
The collaboration of Jedsy and Medilys will establish new delivery routes where the drone delivery stands in stark contrast to traditional heavy car delivery. Extensive investigations are already underway for the first routes, including ambitious plans for further 49 connections.
In addition to addressing inefficiencies in the supply chain, Jedsy and Asklepios aim to realise a measurable add to sustainability targets through reducing emission, noise and operating time of machinery. By adopting Jedsy's cutting-edge delivery drone technology, this collaboration is set to significantly reduce CO2 emissions. Compared to conventional car-based medical supply deliveries, the partnership is expected to achieve a remarkable reduction of up to 99% in carbon emissions.
