Inflamalps in-licenses drug candidate for the treatment of inflammatory diseases

Inflamalps is a pharmaceutical company aiming to establish itself as a key player in the treatment of chronic inflammatory diseases by discovering and developing novel molecules, with a focus on ophthalmological and dermatological diseases. The company was co-founded by Vincent Mutel (ex Addex Pharmaceuticals), Philippe Meuwly, (Pharmalp) and Charles Woler (Endotis) in 2012.

OX1001, the drug candidate in-licensed from oncoNOx, is the front-runner drug candidate of a chemical series of NO-hybridized protease inhibitors synthetized and discovered at OncoNOx. In-vitro and in-vivo data have proven that OX1001 exerts powerful pharmacological effects in models of inflammatory diseases and cancer. 

Under the terms of the agreement signed between OncoNOx and Inflamalps, Inflamalps will benefit from an exclusive license option to progress OX1001, developed by Inflamalps under the name INF101 and other NO-hybridized protease inhibitors into clinical development. The terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.
