Last year, the Digital festival was held for the first time in Zurich. Over 1000 visitors comprising of startups, investors, tech enthusiast, and digital makers and shakers attended the event. This diverse group of people came together to discuss topics that affect the Swiss economy and to answer questions about the digital future of Switzerland. Participants also got hands-on new technology by creating prototype apps that within 40 hours during to HackZurich.

“When I was asked to help on the Advisory Board of yet another business conference, I was a bit hesitant. I should have known better: the Digital Festival 2016 was a totally new type of event, combining business and hands-on tech experiences that proved out to be absolutely outstanding. The organization, the speakers, the workshops and the discussions about questions of the digital future were all equally top-notch. I really enjoyed the social part, too”, said Daniel Gutenberg, IT entrepreneur and investor.

In 2017, Digital Festival aims to create a more stimulating environment where participants share ideas, inspire each other, cooperate and gather an unforgettable experience. However, to make the event a success, the Digital Festival team calls upon individuals with proposals for the program to submit them. The proposal can be lectures, a presentation, workshop, art or hands-on activity. Digital Festival also gives a chance to persons who want to create their own program point.
