Stableton launches alternative investment platform

Stableton’s platform gives qualified investors and financial advisors access to alternative investments such as hedge funds, venture capital, alternative lending, and real estate. With plans to expand across Europe, the startup has today launched in Switzerland.

The alternative investments market is worth USD 21 trillion, according to PwC’s AWM Research Centre. Aiming to grab a large market share, the Zug based fintech startup, Stableton has launched its alternative investments platform to bring together investors, financial intermediaries, investment managers, service providers, and startups.

Alternatives are known for providing attractive risk-adjusted returns over the medium term, and for contributing to capital preservation during difficult markets. For the vast majority of investors and their financial advisers, however, accessing these sophisticated asset classes meant high investment minima, a lot of paperwork, and high fees that took a painful bite out of the performance advantage when compared to traditional stocks and bonds investments. Stableton wants to change this. Regulated in Switzerland as an independent asset manager, Stableton today offers twelve products on the platform with further launches expected later in April.

Institutional-grade portfolios, that is, tailored to a client’s specific requirements, start at portfolio sizes from CHF 500,000. On the other hand, Stableton’s platforms brings new opportunities for private and mid-size investors, offering single products with a minimum investment starting as low as CHF 100.

In addition to the launch, the startup has announced the successful closing of its first financing round in connection with a larger seed round later in the year. The company was backed by early-stage venture capital firm Alpha Founders Capital, and other investors and industry experts from leading Swiss wealth management firms and family offices.
