In less than six months – on 26 May 2021 – the Medical Devices Regulation (MDR) and the corresponding Swiss Medical Devices Ordinance (MedDO) will come into force. However, there is currently no indication that the Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) will be updated in the near future. The decision to implement measures to conform with the third country requirements must be taken by each company itself.
