We are a Medtech startup based in Sitem Medtech Hub Bern, Innovationspark Zurich and Cambridge UK. Our goal is to prevent hospital acquired infections (HAI), which affect 3 – 20% of all patients in ICUs. To tackle this problem, we offer an innovative product, which is an adaptor, customized for different catheters, with an in-situ disinfection module to target bacterial colonization near the skin entry site. Several Letters of Intent from hospitals in Switzerland and abroad are obtained, which indicates the purchase of the product at market entry. By preventing infections, Aseptuva reduces patient-stay period, eases the burden on nurses, saves thousands of lives and billions of healthcare costs each year.
