Four Swiss startups are among the 60 agritech startups selected to join the EIT Food Acceleration Network (EIT FAN) program. The startups will benefit from mentorship, programming, and resources to accelerate their growth and impact.

Launched by EIT Food, the FAN programme fosters efforts to identify and support high-impact Agri- and Food-Tech startups, making Europe the go-to innovation hub for this evolving industry. A team of more than 130 experts from the Agrifood industry evaluated close to 450 startups from the EU and its associated countries selecting 120 startups which advanced to the next stage and 60 that will benefit from the program at different locations. The cohort for Switzerland includes four Swiss startups.

Codecheck – developed an app that evaluates products in cooperation with renowned scientists from organisations such as WWF, Greenpeace, and empowers consumers to buy the healthiest and most environmentally friendly products.

INOFEA AG – makes enzymes 10 x more stable, re-usable and suitable for continuous processes by immobilising and protecting them with a tailor-made shield. This makes them easy to use in biocatalysis, bioanalysis and proteomics, as well as an active ingredient.

NaturaYuva AG – the company directly contracts growers to naturally cultivate medicinal and aromatic plants which leads to higher quality raw materials.

Vivent SARL – By amplifying electrical signals in plants and interpreting them using machine learning, Vivent provides farmers and agchem suppliers, real-time information on crop health.

A wide range of benefits for startups
During the programme, startups are set to benefit from EIT FAN’s curriculum and unparalleled network and gain access to a powerful agrifood customer base to bring their innovation to the market faster. Its corporate partners include leading international corporations representing all key elements of our food system. The curriculum was created by academic and industry leaders in agrifood to ensure that participating startups would transition from early-stage to impactful innovators.
