Dagsmejan, the Swiss start-up bringing technology to sleepwear announces the successful closing of a seed financing round of CHF 1 million. The company will use the funds to develop further ranges of functionally optimized sleepwear combining advanced fiber technologies with innovative textile engineering.

Dagsmejan, founded by Catarina Dahlin and Andreas Lenzhofer, uses a patented high-tech natural fiber combined with integrated functional knitting structures to make sleepwear truly optimized for sleep. As opposed to traditional cotton sleepwear, Dagsmejan pyjamas are equipped with a technology that allows them to adapt to an individual’s body temperature thereby creating the optimum climatic comfort zone for the sleeping body throughout the night.

Moreover, the pyjamas can draw sweat away from the skin and are soft on the touch, which enhances sleep quality. The “Balance” product line keeps your thermal balance just right, all night. The recently added “Stay Warm” collection provides featherlight breathable warmth, in particular when the nights are getting a bit colder.

In April the company started selling this new kind of sleepwear in the DACH region, in a next phase the products will be rolled-out in the United Kingdom and the Nordics. Customers can purchase the products online or from one of the company’s 30 plus distribution partners.

Thanks to the successful closing of a seed-financing round of CHF 1 million from private investors, the startup is now set to further revolutionize the sleepwear market.

Andreas Lenzhofer, co-founder of Dagsmejan says, “The funds will be invested in additional product lines of functionally optimized sleepwear combining advanced fiber technologies with innovative textile engineering.” The funds will also be used for market development as well as in expanding the team in its new offices in Zurich.
