Tech5 strengthens North American presence with new acquisition

TECH5 builds cutting-edge NIST-rated algorithms and state-of-the-art biometric identification and authentication systems with more key IP than many companies in the identity space. Through its US subsidiary, Tech5 has acquired Imageware Systems, a company that has been serving the federal, law enforcement and public safety sectors in North America and various regions around the world for more than 36 years, offering an end-to-end biometric identification platform designed with the best user interface (UI) and accuracy in the industry.

As part of this deal, TECH5 acquired Imageware’s assets, including software, contracts, and intellectual property. TECH5 will provide ongoing support and services to Imageware’s global customer base as the new owner of the assets. The deal will enable TECH5 to provide its customers with new functionalities and AI-driven authentication software products backed by a global team of security experts and visionaries. Tech5 will take over the Imageware team, including the engineering, support, product, sales marketing, and other departments, and continue supporting Imageware’s global customers.
