Swiss tech startups continue to win accolades worldwide

Recognizing startups with award prizes empowers them to further innovate in their respective domains. Juries in various global programs were impressed by the solutions from Swiss startups, awarding them with prizes and a ticket into accelerator programs. 

Bionomous, RoBoa, and Mondaic Ltd. have secured coveted spots in the Zühlke Product Scale-Up Coaching program, a joint program offering CHF 20,000 business consulting and coaching package to selected companies. Additionally, the startups will also access to the Zühlke network and expertise to overcome challenges surrounding the transition from prototype to product.  Bionomous, with its EggSorter, developed the world’s first provider of AI-powered solutions for screening, sorting and dispensing of small biological entities. Roboa developed a robotic solution that revolutionizes entering confined spaces to save the lives of disaster victims and inspect industrial plants. Mondaic is an ETH Spinoff offers modern software and services for the simulation, analysis, and inversion of mechanical as well as sound waves across all scales. 

Zaphiro Technologies has been selected to join the Alliander Powered program along with ten other startups. Zaphiro developed SynchroGuard, an innovative monitoring and automation solution for smart grids, to increase the integration of renewables and reliability of power systems. The startup will work together with Alliander, empowering them to optimize the utilization of its existing electricity infrastructure.  

Synature is one of the startups in the 8th cohort of the Hectar accelerator program, a 3-month program serving as a launchpad for agri-tech startups striving to contribute to the transformation of the agricultural landscape. Synature is pioneering bioacoustics technologies like a smart microphone that instantly detects species, primarily wolves, notifying biologists and rangers. 

The 3rd edition of the Societal Innovation Forum has awarded the founder pvssy talk, a sex education platform for people with vulva aged 25 to 45 who suffer from pain, with a prize of CHF 10,000 supported by the Fondation Leenaards.   

In the realm of digital health, Aktiia and Oviva have earned recognition as two of the World's Best Digital Health Companies. Aktiia’s automated Optical blood pressure monitoring system worn on the wrist uses standard optical sensors to take accurate blood pressure readings around the clock without interrupting daily life. Since 2014, Oviva offers digital solutions to empower people to change their diet-related habits, improve their long-term health, and enhance their well-being. 

Xovis emerged victorious as the recipient of the Export Award 2024 from Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE), further solidifying its position as a global leader in its domain. The company, founded in 2008 and based in in Zollikofen close to Bern, is renowned for its expertise in people flow measurement technology. Their high-precision sensors capture the people present in a room and interpret the data with the help of artificial intelligence.
