Swiss startups secure international recognition

Bearmind – IMAGINE IF! 2022 Global Winner
Lausanne based Bearmind just won IMAGINE IF! 2022 Global prize. A major international recognition for the startup represented at the London finals by Tom Bertrand, Mathieu Falbriard and Benoit Mariani. Organised by the Innovation Forum, IMAGINE IF! is a global accelerator and competition for disruptive ideas. The startup was selected among the 10 finalists among a cohort of 60 global startups coming mainly from Europe, in particular the UK, Switzerland and Spain. There was an amazing level of pitching from all startups with a diverse range of ideas.

Founded in 2021, Bearmind is helping high-impact sports teams control the number of concussive hits athletes receive, thus reducing the risk of long-term brain damage. 

SmartHelio – Verbund x Accelerator Program 2022
The planet warms up and so does Smarthelio. The “doctors of solar plants” got selected by Verbund x Accelerator Program 2022 to collaborate with the Austrian utility, thanks to their plug-and-play solution that can be integrated into any solar system and generate up to 5% more clean energy. A mission with a common objective: to gain speed in the transition to a green global future.

Verbund x Accelerator is a program created by the biggest Austrian utility to implement and adapt solutions to their own system for a more sustainable future. As a part of its 3rd cohort, SmartHelio stood as the winner in the category of “Advanced data analytics for solar PV plants” because of their state-of-the-art fault detection and predictive software solution, a result of more than 10 years of R&D in Swiss institutes. SmartHelio’s unique pattern recognition technology perfectly matched the requirement of the problem statement of Verbund, who needed universal and easy-to-scale algorithms to support their exponential solar growth.

Nezasa – Travolution Awards 2022
For the second year in a row, Zurich based traveltech Nezasa won the “Best Large Technology Supplier” award at Travolution Awards 2022. In a London event that gathered more than 400 people from the online travel and travel tech industries, Nezasa was awarded as the technology developer considered to have made the most progress in the past year.

The “Best Large Technology Supplier” category was created for companies that provide software products, selling platforms, Software as a Service (SaaS) or plug-in features. The award was attributed to Nezasa by a panel of industry experts from all fields of the travel world. During the ceremony, on the 24th of November, Nezasa’s team took the stage to receive this incredible recognition that is not only a testament to our team’s efforts but a clear acknowledgement of our products’ capabilities.
