Students with professional experience support start-ups

HWZ University of Applied Sciences Zurich has again opened the call for projects for start-ups interested in support by a team of marketing or business administration students. Start-ups can now secure a team for a marketing or business plan project.

Teams of 4-6 students will create marketing or sales plans for the companies, or a social media campaign, or a branding concept, or a sales guide, or create options of business models, a business plan, a financial business case and pitch presentation, or, or, or….. In the last 5 years over 1000 students supported more than 200 start-up companies. 

With over 2'000 students and 500 lecturers, the HWZ is the biggest part-time University for economics in Switzerland. Undergraduate students are required to participate in a course in entrepreneurship in their final year. As the students are working part time all of them have professional experiences. Many of the marketing students work in advertising and communications agencies, media houses, sales or communications departments. Students supporting business plan projects are working usually in large companies and are studying business computer sciences or business administration.

The submission deadline is February 28, 2015. Projects will run between March and July 2015. The student teams are coached by experienced lecturers and startup coaches. The cost is CHF 300 for startups, CHF 800 for SMEs and CHF 1500 for all other companies."
