Startups get a hand from seasoned board members

With the mission to intelligently transform the trade show industry, Konduko helps trade show organisers create a better environment for attendees and exhibitors to engage which in turn helps event organisers transform their shows by delivering more valuable experiences. Most recently, the startup has launched the Generation 4 series of its award-winning intelligent Reader and is soon to launch a new digital platform that will bring in-person and digital events together like never before. Alongside these plans and the company continues to bring in new expertise to support it on the journey.

Paul Woodward, advisor to Konduko since 2016 and a member of its Board of Directors, has been appointed to Chairman of the company. Paul is an industry veteran and former UFI managing director. Commenting on his new role, he said, “As the world of business events reopens, we are seeing a huge focus on the convergence of face-to-face and digital interactions. Konduko, with its concept of Intelligent Trade Shows, is in the right place at the right time to turn this idea into business for organisers and their clients. Distalmotion – Member of the board
Former CFO of GE Healthcare and ConvaTec Group Plc Frank Schulkes is now a member of Distalmotion’s Board of Directors, chaired by Rick Anderson, Chairman of Revival Healthcare Capital. Distalmotion is the developer of the Dexter surgical robot. This appointment follows the closing of a USD 90 million Series E financing round earlier this year and reinforces Distalmotion’s capabilities to fast-track its commercial development. With his broad and deep operational finance expertise, Frank Schulkes will also play a key role in building operational and regulatory systems to support Distalmotion’s submission to the FDA.

Deep Breath Intelligence - investor and board member
The Zug-based startup implements Molecular Breath Analysis by combining high-resolution mass spectrometry with advanced Artificial Intelligence to turn it into a powerful platform for medical research and daily clinical practice. In addition to investing in the startup, Sigi Foehn has joined Deep Breath Intelligence (DBI) board. Sigi has been the General Manager at Rieter Textile Systems China since 2005. In his new role as an active board member, he will support DBI to take precision medicine to the next level and improve people’s health.
