Fintech startup Relai, provides a platform for anyone to invest in Bitcoin most conveniently. In less than two months following its launch, Relai has recorded has already facilitated a transaction volume of CHF 200’000 and doubled its revenue. The startup will now use its recently obtained seed funds to enhance the platform.
Relai is on a mission to enable everybody to invest in Bitcoin. Founded by Julian Liniger, the Zurich-based startup built the world’s most simple, convenient and private Bitcoin Investing App which allows users to invest in Bitcoin in one minute—acting as a digital Bitcoin ATM. The app offers a stable process that allows users to buy and sell Bitcoin directly from their bank account within 1 minute. Neither registration, onboarding, KYC verification nor deposit is required.
Relai was the last startup to be featured on the first edition of the Startup Pitch series, organised by Swisspreneuer and Startupticker, at the end of July. Since then, the startup has seen a growing number of customers and platform users with 1500 app downloads. Transaction volume grew from CHF 100’000 in July to CHF 200’000 in August. The company’s revenues have also doubled ever since.” We are growing fast without any marketing budget”, commented Julian.
Most recently the company has closed its seed round raising CHF 200’000 from various investors originating from Switzerland, Germany, Italy and Ukraine. The funds will enable Relai to enhance the product and design its marketing strategy as it prepares to penetrate the European market.
“We are continuously improving our UX/UI and Bitcoin efficiency, and we are currently working on a referral program to attract even more customers. We’re also thinking about introducing alternative payment options (Twint, Credit Card, Apple/Google/Samsung Pay) and direct Open Banking integration”, reveals Julian.
