Entrepreneur of the Year Award

Flyability, Interprefy and Predictive Layer are the finalists in the Emerging Entrepreneurs Category of the award. With beqom and Go Concept two more young companies are nominated in the trade/services category.

EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award, which was launched in the US, has now spread to over 70 countries. In Switzerland, the story began in 1998. Since then, up to 50 entrepreneurs have applied for the competition every year. The jury selects one award winner from a shortlist of three finalists in each category.

This year five younger companies made it to the finals:

Category Emerging Entrepreneur

Flyability (VD, founded in 2014)
Flyability builds solutions for the inspection and exploration of indoor, inaccessible, and confined spaces using collision tolerant drones.

Interprefy (ZH, founded in 2014)
Interprefy is a flexible and scalable cloud interpreting platform enabling remote interpreting for any kind of event or meeting. Customer include the United Nations, Google, Siemens, Roche, UBS and many more.

Predictive Layer (VD, founded 2014)
Predictive Layer provides automated Big Data predictive analytics allowing its customers to build and operate accurate and reliable forecast models.
It leverages automatically the available industry data and it is already delivering superior results in Energy, Telecom, Financial Services, Logistics & freight sectors.

Category Trade/Services

Beqom (VD, founded in 2009)
The beqom Total Compensation platform is used globally across all industry sectors by over 100 large companies such as Microsoft and Vodafone. It addresses all Performance and Compensation aspects such as Salary Review, Bonus, Long-Term Incentives, Commissions, Benefits, Non-cash rewards and all key drivers towards Employee Performance and Sales Performance.

Go Concept (VD, founded in 2009)
The consulting company embraces a more hands on approach of the consulting business. Go Concept’s competitive advantage lies in its ability to link all three of its sectors, which are Go Acceleration (assisting entrepreneurs in the development of their business), Go Conception (design office able to tailor-make, from A to Z, any product or equipment a client need) and Go Consulting Innovation (innovative technological consulting).

 

The winners will be announced at the gala ceremony on 25 October 2019 in Baden. More information about the award and its global network of 50,000 entrepreneurs can be found on the EY website.
