Ruag buys IT security start-up Satorys

The RUAG Group is an international aerospace and defence technology company with production sites in Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Austria, Hungary and the United States. The company employs 7739 people and achieved net sales of CHF1.7 billion in 2011.
 
As the radio station RTS reported Ruag will buy Satorys. Satorys is the brand of IRIS Internet Risk Insurance Services SA in Geneva, Switzerland, a leading Swiss Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP). The company based in Geneva was founded in 2006 and awarded with the CTI Start-up Label in 2009.
 
Satorys leverages its innovative technology to provide world-class Managed Security Services to organizations worldwide; its customers include incumbent telecommunication operators, Fortune-500 companies, and public-sector administrations.
 
Satorys’ core competency resides in the ability to extract reliable, purposeful IT security intelligence out of large amounts of raw data.
