Relai, the startup enabling individuals to purchase Bitcoins via an app easily, is now offering its over-the-counter solution to B2B customers in response to demand from businesses. With the success of its initial pilots, the startup is now onboarding customers for its Relai Business segment.
Since its founding in 2020, Relai has been offering a platform for individuals to purchase Bitcoins easily and faster through an app. The bitcoin-only app is designed to be simple and intuitive, enabling anyone in Europe to buy and sell bitcoin with as little as 10 CHF/EUR within minutes, with no need for registration, verification, or deposits. So far, the startup has recorded 180’000+ app downloads and 50’000 active users. With Relai Private, the startup also provides its over-the-counter (OTC) solution to high-net-worth individuals (HNWI) investing over 100.000 CHF/EUR in bitcoin. Altogether, the company has recorded more than 100 million in transaction volume.
Building on the positive performance of its app and HNWI customer segment, the startup is now launching the ‘Relai Business’ to enable small to medium-sized businesses to buy bitcoin within one day. Companies can add bitcoin to their corporate balance sheets of more than 100,000 EUR/CHF per transaction with exclusive personal service and expert guidance.
“We were approached by dozens of companies requesting access to our solution to add bitcoin to their corporate balance sheets. Now that we obtained a licence, we are ready to serve this segment,” says Julian Linger, CEO of Relai.
According to Linger, the success of the pilot projects with the first users was another confirmation of a demand from the corporate sector. The company now has a waiting list with more than 30 companies ready for the onboarding phase.
