Since its foundation in 2017, Avoras, a Swiss firm specialising in SAP business transformation consultancy in the pharma and life sciences sector, has grown to 60 employees and serves customers worldwide. As of the second quarter of 2023, the company will join the PWC Switzerland family.

PwC Switzerland, the leading audit and advisory firm in Switzerland, has acquired Avoras Holding AG as part of its growth strategy in the consulting area. The acquisition will expand PWC’s market position as a provider of business transformation with SAP S/4HANA. PWC has held the SAP Platinum Partner status since 2020, the highest global partner status that partners receive only by invitation from SAP.

Avoras, on the other hand, is an SAP Gold Partner with broad expertise in process transformation, based on which it advises clients on the transition to S/4HANA. Its long-standing customers include leading Basel pharma, life sciences, and chemical companies.

Alongside its headquarters in Basel, Avoras has offices in Portugal, Germany, the USA, Malaysia and Singapore and employs more than 60 people. Following its acquisition, Avoras founders Ralph Bäumle, Kris Ammann and Dario Götte will join PwC as partners to complement the PWC leadership team together with the existing partners in the technology area. Avoras’ employees in Switzerland and at various international locations will be taken over and transferred to a joint structure after the closing of the transaction in the second quarter of 2023.

“We are pleased to be able to significantly strengthen our end-to-end business transformation consulting services together with PwC. For our clientele, this means even more comprehensive support, thanks to additional experience and competencies worldwide,” says Ralph Bäumle, Managing Partner of Avoras.

“We are thrilled that with Avoras, such a competent and experienced team of SAP and agile experts is joining us. This transaction will further strengthen our already leading Advisory practice and additionally provide a massive boost to help us serve our clientele more fully,” said Andreas Staubli, CEO of PwC Switzerland.
