Presenting companies for the next Swiss Venture Day have been chosen
The next Swiss Venture Day on 5 September will start as always at 2 pm. In the morning an “Angelday” will be held at the same venue, the SWX Swiss Exchange in Zurich. The Angeldays are a series of workshops for business angels. Topic of the next Angelday will be Due Diligence. In the afternoon the Angels can make the move from theory to practice and attend the presentations of seven very promising start-up companies. Registration via the website of CTI Invest.
The companies in order of appearance:
Rayneer
The software from Rayneer analyzes the Facebook profile of a user, and on this basis puts together a personal television program. The first service is a music television that automatically displays the favorite clips of the viewer.
Winterthur Instruments
Winterthur Instruments supplies measurement systems for noncontact and nondestructive testing of coatings. These systems can be used to control industrial processes as well as for quality testing and reference measurements. Customers save production time and coating material and can implement 100% quality control on in- and out-bound goods.
Phocone
The spin-off from ETH Zurich develops continuously tunable laser modules emitting in the mid-infrared wavelength region. The laser modules are very well suited to spectroscopic applications, a commonly used technique for fast, sensitive and precise measurement of gas concentrations – for example, in breath analysis.
Dynamic Devices
The start-up has developed a new kind of training machine. The patented Dynamic Leg Press is a completely new sensory motor training robot working the lower torso and legs. Unprecedented dynamics and strength combined with a very fast interactive system allow a full scope of training. Athletes as well as rehabilitation patients of all ages can benefit from this new technology.
Biovotion
Biovotion AG is a Swiss based medical device company, providing solutions for continuous, non-invasive physiological monitoring. The start-up develops the Biovotion Vital Sign Monitoring (VSM) platform, a mobile, stand-alone wearable monitor of vital sign parameters supported by integrated cloud services for data exchange and analysis.
YouRehab
YouRehab provides unique, cost-effective, rehabilitation-optimized interactive technologies and systems for full bimanual and bipedal rehabilitation of neurological motor disorders. Its systems maximize patient therapy adherence and dosage, and provide quantitative data to enable therapists to optimize recovery and clinical rehabilitation costs. The first systems have been deployed in several clinics worldwide.
Slyde Watch
The young company from Geneva has developed a timepiece which is a fusion between the latest technologies and the art of watchmaking. The revolutionary display, equipped with a touch screen, enables the user to generate an infinite variety of timepieces on his wrist. This range of multiple watches in one has been made possible by creating top-quality virtual modules.
