Patent granted to Bluetector for its BlueBox

A first patent has been granted to Bluetector for its new wastewater treatment system, the BlueBox. The BlueBox has been developed to treat difficult and problematic wastewaters, such as wastewater from waste collection companies or wastewater that contains chemicals or toxins.

The granted patent is titled "Method, apparatus, system and container for cleaning sludge containing wastewater" with a priority date of February, 2012. The issuance of the new patent emphasizes Bluetector's intention for delivering innovative cleantech products for wastewater treatment and sludge-to-energy applications.

The first BlueBox containing the wastewater treatment system described in the new patent has been delivered to Bluetector's first client in December 2013. This client belongs to an international group that has subsidiaries with a total of 1 600 employees all around the world and operates 70 service centers in Germany alone.

"The issuance of this new patent validates our commitment to creating innovative technology and proprietary methods in order to find new a better methods to clean water and create value from sewage sludge," said David Din, Chairman and CEO of Bluetector.
