Official.fm provides tools for artists & labels to help them easily promote and manage their music online. In addition the start-up is now beginning to provide developers the tools to be able to easily including content of official.fm users into the new and exciting music experiences that these developers are building. As a result Official.fm helps labels and artists to get their music in front of as many people as possible.

Official.fm announces two partnerships. Shuffler.fm (an audio magazine made by music blogs) now supports Official.fm content and players. When any of their network of music blogs snag and embed an Official.fm player, the content of the Official.fm user will be indexed and be playable within Shuffler’s channels.

The second partnership is with The Hype Machine. The Hype Machine tracks music that influential music blogs are talking about and presents it all for convenient playback. From here, music fans can listen, discover and share both the songs and the editorial content about them. Blog posts with embedded Official.fm players are now trackable/playable on The Hype Machine.

With those new possibilities Official.fm users not only do keep control of their content (and statistics), but it also exposes them to new audiences and allows them to find more fans.

The start-up was awarded with the CTI Start-up label in 2010.
