KaiosID wins the cosmetic innovation prize

The jury of Cosmetic 360 was impressed by KaiosID’s product identification system for brand protection. The startup won the prize in the category ‘Services’ for its brand traceability solution.

Cosmetic 360 is the international cosmetic innovation fair organised by Cosmetic Valley, the world’s leading network of perfume and cosmetics companies, to provide a platform to learn about the latest beauty innovations in the sector. One of the highlights of the event is the awarding of Innovation prizes.

This year, more than 100 companies qualified for the awards in the categories Raw Materials, Product, Technology and Services. Swiss startup KaiosID received the Innovation Prize in the category Services.

The startup developed a cloud-based traceability solution that allows brands to fight the increasing threats of counterfeiting and grey markets by adding unique hidden random patterns on the product’s packaging. Unlike existing systems such as QR, barcodes, serial numbers or data matrix, KaiosID’s solution is more secure and it adds a layer of transparency and trust which is vital for the global perfume and cosmetics companies.
