Swiss FinTech Awards launches the registration phase

Last year Apiax and Crypto Finance swept away the prizes of the Swiss Fintech Awards. Today, the organizing committee has kicked off the search for new shapers of the Swiss Fintech ecosystem. All fintech start-ups with a Swiss connection are invited to register until 22. November 2019.

The Swiss FinTech Awards aim to promote Swiss fintech innovators and to contribute to the strong Swiss fintech ecosystem by acknowledging the achievements and devotion of outstanding fintech start-ups and fintech influencers. Last year, Apiax and Crypto Finance won the awards received new titles as Early Stage Start-up of the Year and  Growth Stage Start-up of the Year respectively. FinTech Influencer of the Year award went to the former Federal Councillor Johann Schneider-Ammann. The program is now looking for new flag bearers of the awards.

As of today, Swiss FinTech Awards is open for applications. Fintech startups with a Swiss connection – such as Swiss founders who are active in Switzerland and/or abroad, or organizations with a Swiss head office – may submit their application. Eligible for the awards are solutions from all fintech verticals, that is, Crowdfunding, Crypto, Insurance, Data Analytics, Investing and Asset Management, Payments, RegTech, Security, WealthTech etc.

An expert jury comprising more than 20 fintech experts will nominate the startups that will further participate in the awards. They will have the opportunity to meet experienced investors, potential clients and business partners, coaches, independent experts among others. As part of the program, the start-ups have the opportunity to pitch at exclusive events and potentially win prize money and valuable media coverage.

Reflecting on the benefits of the program, Lucas Bruggeman, Partner and Board Member of Sentifi (winner 2016) said: “After we’ve won the award we received 500 job applications in one month! Thanks to this, we hired a top CTO from the US as well as a great marketing and product experts or big data scientists from Canada, UK and Australia.”

The registration deadline will expire on 22 November 2019.
