MassChallenge reveals the 2019 finalists

The fourth annual MassChallenge Switzerland program accelerated 76 startups from 12 countries across four continents. During the four-month program, the startups received resources to grow and launch their products, create value for the founders as well as impact in the society.

Following an in-person pitch, the jury identified 12 startups including eight from Switzerland that demonstrated high growth potential and impact. The 12 finalists will now move on to the final judging round that will determine the competition prize winners.

The finalists are

ARTIRIA Medical (Vaud): the company developed a disruptive medical device to enable stroke surgeons to navigate in brain arteries with unprecedented speed and efficacy.

CellSpring (Zurich): uses a proprietary tool to identify exosome cargo linked to cancer metastasis and develop 'biomarker hits' into liquid biopsy diagnostics.

Emotion Food Company (Vaud): EFC specialises in the development of solutions for people suffering from dysphagia or swallowing disorders.

Enterprise Bot (Zug): Enterprise Bot is an Artificial Intelligence company that builds Chabot solutions for enterprises.

Planted (Zurich): Planted creates tasty ‘meat’ directly from plants - and skips the animal. Our plant-based meat is sustainable, healthy and cruelty-free.

PXL Vision (Zurich): developed Daego® is a technology platform for secure identity verification and the creation & management of trustable digital identities.

Silencions (Ticino): Our mission is to bring back the silence to people's everyday life by significantly reducing noise emission in a simple and economical manner.

Tomplay (Vaud): is the inventor of an Interactive Sheet Music, which offers all musicians a unique tool to learn and play music.

SEADS - SEA DEFENCE SOLUTIONS (United Kingdom): offers patented technology to stop plastic from entering the oceans with recycling capabilities.

Liquid Logical (United Kingdom): the company invented a new technology, which brings water to boiling temperature instantly without a tank. Using the exact time, water, energy.

BFT, s.r.o. (Slovakia): BFT developed a new processing method for sugar beet to alternative sweeteners with health benefits, offers also value and cost optimization.

These startups will proceed to compete for the cash and in-kind prizes that will be awarded at the MassChallenge Switzerland Awards Ceremony on October 31, 2019, at the Swiss Tech Convention Center.
