Supporters put start-ups in the spotlight

The Technology Park Basel addresses early stage tech start-ups, that transform knowledge into marketable products and services. The industry focus includes the life sciences industry, the chemical industry, environmental and energy technology, nanotechnology and information and communication technology. The park has started a portrait series of start-ups with stories about Piqur Therapeutics, NBE Therapeutics and Cellestia Biotech. More stories will be added quarterly.

Swiss Medtech is committed to promoting Switzerland as a leading scientific workplace and centre of research by providing targeted training and further education programmes, symposiums, export-promoting services, and supportive measures for entrepreneurship. In August, the industry association started its “Startup of the Month” series. The goal is to build a bridge between established and emerging companies and help bring together what belongs together. Two profiles about Pregnolia and CAScination have already been published.

Swiss Medtech – Startup of the Month

The objective of the Gebert Rüf Stiftung is to promote «Switzerland as a top location for business and as a place to live» (purpose article). As a private funding agency guided by its mission statement «making science effective», it supports entrepreneurial projects which are committed to achieving an impact. The foundation has recently started a YouTube Channel with videos about support offerings and projects, which includes startups. Already online is a video about a project “ DNA-Based Tracers for Next Level Industrial Tracing“ and the ETH Zurich spin-off Healixa.
