CTI Invest and the Commission for Technology and Innovation CTI published this week for the fifth time the Swiss Venture Guide. This Guide is intended to help young entrepreneurs to find the support they need. Readers will find an overview of support organisations, investors, new trends and initiatives like the planned swissfund and stories about 15 selected start-ups.

The Swiss Venture Guide’s intention is to give future and actual entrepreneurs, investors, politicians and the general public a better understanding of what a great country Switzerland is for Innovation and for starting a high tech company.

Again the guide starts with interesting Cover Stories concerning the venture ecosystem of Switzerland. The articles cover different topics ranging from a very short history of CTI Invest and the CEO Day to a portrait of the planned swissfund, a fund-of-fund conceived to close the financing gap in the Swiss innovation ecosystem. In addition there is an interview with Lutz Nolte, vice president of CTI and president of the funding area Start-up and CTI Entrepreneurship. Another article presents the results of a survey about the financing situation of Swiss start-ups from the perspective on entrepreneurs.

And readers can discover 15 Companies the editors believe to be on the way to success. The companies are: Amphasys, Cooala, Decentlab, Gastros, L.E.S.S., Newscron, Numab, Sanovation, Scandit, Smixin, Stagend, Swissto12, Uepaa!, Visionarity and Xovis.

Potential Support Organizations for Swiss Start-ups are presented in a detailed way. Readers will also find more than 60 profiles of investors, all members of CTI Invest.

Furthermore an overview of Businessplan Competitions for high tech start-ups in Switzerland is provided. Last but not least the magazine contains import links for high-tech entrepreneurs.

The fifth edition will be the last one as hardcopy. As of today the Swiss Venture Guide is available as a mobile Websolution at www.swissventureguide.ch, so readers can enjoy it wherever they are.

In addition the Swiss Venture Guide 2013 is linked to Shortcut (App) to download the content digitally and to find additional materials.

This edition of the Swiss Venture Guide was possible thanks to the great support of the Commission for Technology and Innovation CTI.
