OneLab Solutions launches TouchPoint RFID solution for hotels

OneLab Solutions is delighted to announce the successful installation of their patent-pending TouchPoint technology in a Swiss 5-star luxury hotel. TouchPoint uses active RFID technology to allow hotel staff to discreetly recognize their guests and consult their needs and preferences directly at the point of customer contact, for example the reception, bar, or restaurant.

Luxury hotels today seek to provide highly personalized service to their guests, but in order to do so the personnel must be able to recognize who the clients are. Even in very small hotels it simply isn't possible for all the staff to recognize all the guests, all the time. TouchPoint solves this problem with an intelligent room key that is recognized when approaching key points of customer contact, allowing the personnel to note the name of the guest and consult key information such as their reservation details or food allergies.

OneLab's first TouchPoint client is using the system effectively at the entrance to their bar and patio, to help personnel recognize hotel guests and greet them by name, as well as consulting any specific preferences they may have.  This is particularly useful for welcoming new visitors, but also for clients that stay for several days, as it allows for a consistent level of guest recognition no matter which staff member is on duty.
