Flatev one of the 26 global finalists of MassChallenge

Flatev provides a new solution starting with a fully automatic machine and corresponding dough-capsules, which enable anyone to make a wide variety of fresh tortillas and other flatbreads in only seconds. After being accepted into MassChallenge, the Flatev crew has set up a US-based office in Boston's Seaport District. CEO Carlos, CMO Sebastien and Head of Marketing Sandro have left Zurich behind for the new digs.The first round of market tests began in late September in Boston.

Now the team was selected as one of the 26 best companies of the MassChallenge. MassChallenge is a global start-up program including a 4 month accelerator program, cash awards and in-kind support. The Accelerator program offers continued access to Training workshops led by industry leaders, exclusive networking events with key influencers in the community, office hours with industry and topical experts and investors, social activities with other startups, investors and mentors, and open house events to showcase startups to the media and public.

In addition to the mentorship, community, education and training, all MassChallenge Finalists have access to over $10M of in-kind deals and support and compete for over $1M in grants. All support and grants are provided with no strings attached – MassChallenge takes no equity from any of its companies and places no restrictions on any of the entrepreneurs. Several rounds of judging determine cash winners. MassChallenge judges award a total of $1M in grants to 10-20 winners in amounts of either $100K or $50K
