Masha.ai, the e-Commerce platform powered by AI that lets users buy from their favourite brands inside their favourite chat app such as FB Messenger, Telegram, Skype and others has closed a €500K seed round backed by Niyama Holdings Inc.

Masha.ai enables people to discover and shop from inside their chat app. Chat-apps are used more than anything else online. 1,5 Billion people send 60 Billion messages a day via a chat app. At the same time, eCommerce is growing 16x faster than traditional retail. Frederik Van Lierde, Founder and CEO of Masha.ai, explains: “we see that users don't want more apps to shop, they want one app with access to all the products of their favourite brands. This is what Masha.ai offers. One place where shoppers can discover and buy their favourite brands, a solution for brands to place their products and services in front of the shoppers at the right moment at the right time.

The Swiss start-up has already signed more than 750 international brands. 8 million products are available. "With the support of our brands, our existing and new strategic investors, we are accelerating the development of our product and the adoption of AI and Chatbot technology for e-Commerce, an industry that will keep growing in number of users - 2.95 billion by 2020 - and turnover - 725 billion -" said Frederik Van Lierde.
