The finalists will pitch at this week’s CV Summit in Zug, where the winners will be announced as well. Among the finalist’s products are piggy-wallets for kids, financial services and trading platforms as well as a gateway for cryptocurrency subscription payments.

The CV Competition is a startup contest for blockchain projects with each competition targeting a specific industry, in this case the Finance industry. The finalists will pitch their products at the CV Summit (formerly known as Blockchain Summit), which takes place this Wednesday, November 7th, in Zug.

The winner of first place is awarded with 100’000 US Dollar, private office space at the CV Labs in Zug and coaching – each for the duration of one year. The second placed startup wins a workplace for one year in the co-working space at the CV Labs as well as a full year of coaching, while third place also wins a one-year workplace.

Startups headquartered or with an office in Switzerland are:

Ambrpay, Zürich: Uses smart contracts to allow merchants to offer subscription payments to their customers with crypto currencies while keeping the customer in full control of the funds ensured. 

Orionvault, Zug: A platform for digital fine art investments and donations combining cloud and blockchain technology. 

Mybit, Baar: Enables the rapid building, testing, and deployment of wealth management applications on the Ethereum blockchain. 

Blockstate, headquartered in Zug, most of the team works in Berlin: Provides blockchain based financial market infrastructure for investment banks, asset managers and other financial institutions. 

Pigzbe, headquartered in Chiasso, most of the team works in London: A hand-held ‘piggy-wallet’ that teaches children about money in the 21st century

The international startups in the top 10 are:

Enigio, Sweden: Blockchain aggregator.  

Capexmove, Great Britain: Marketplace for loans. 

Blockkeeper, Germany: Open source blockchain interface. 

Wala, South Africa: Financial service platform. 

Shufflup, India: Cryptocurrency trading platform.
