There is a myriad of problems across all industry sectors, and Swiss startups are at the forefront of addressing them using the latest technologies. In the next rounds of four competitions, 95 companies from different industries will present their ideas to convince the juries in order to proceed to the next level and win the top prize.

Every year, >>Venture>> invites early-stage startups from across Switzerland to participate in the competition to get connect with mentors and get expert feedback on their solutions as well as win a cash prize to boost their growth. For the 2024 edition, out of 329 submissions, the jury has selected ten startups for each of the six industry verticals – Finance and Insurance, Health and Nutrition, ICT, Industry and Engineering, Retail and Consumer Services, and Social and Environmental Impact. The 60 finalists will embark on a journey that will help them hone their pitching skills and elevate their company to the next level. Jurors in Round will 2 select the top three teams in each of the six verticals to move on to the final round and pitch in front of members of the >>venture>> Advisory Board and the audience at the award Ceremony on June 17, 2024 at the Audi Max (HG F 30) in the Main Building of ETH Zurich. The grand prize winner will receive up to CHF 150,000 in cash and a business consulting package from McKinsey & Company.

Prix Strategis reveals the five finalists
For more than 30 years, Prix Strategis has been giving the best start-up in Switzerland the opportunity to present their solutions to a team of renowned experts and personalities from the Swiss startup ecosystem to win CHF 50,000 and gain visibility. Five finalists are in the run for the top prize and the winner will be announced at the closing ceremony will take place on May 22nd 2024 at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne.

Nominees for the Green Business award
The Green Business Switzerland honours entrepreneurial solutions that combine ecological impact with economic success. The award is supported by key players from business and environmental protection, including jury president & former Federal Councillor Doris Leuthard, ETH professor Reto Knutti and business journalist and entrepreneur Patrizia Laeri. The nominees for the 2024 challenge are developing a range of solutions, from coral reef restoration to sustainable natural cosmetics. At the end of May, five companies will be awarded the Green Business Excellence label and will be invited to pitch their solution to the main jury. The top three will receive the Green Business Award and a ticket to present at Impact Gstaad's event ‘Impact Circle’ on February 14, 2025.

Top 5 selected for the Mars Habitant Challenge
The Mars Habitat Challenge supports pioneering startups in developing solutions and business models that help create a self-sustaining Habitat on Mars. Selected startups will collaborate with the Hagerbach Test Gallery, a network of tunnels and caverns that create the ideal underground innovation laboratory and training base for innovative projects based on a circular economy. At the previous selection day, the applicants pitched to the jury and industry leaders from Amberg Group, Implenia, ACO, Belloli, ESA BIC Switzerland and Mission Earth First and five of them were selected to proceed to the next stage – the public voting. The top three companies from this stage will be invited to the annual Client Event at the Hagerbach Test Gallery on May, 3rd. The winner will be awarded with a proof of concept in the Hagerbach Test Gallery worth CHF 10'000.
