CTI and CTI Invest start a new programme for the training of business angels. The first “Angel Days” will take place in Lausanne on 22 May and in Zurich on 5 June.

Business angels are experienced entrepreneurs or managers. Usually they face typical challenges when they evaluate their first start-up or negotiate about the first term sheet. As both the number and importance of business angels are increasing a new programme by CTI and CTI Invest helps new angels to meet those challenges: the Angel Days which are supported by a whole series of business angels organisations.

From May on a series of workshops for new business angels who evaluate projects or are about to invest in early-stage companies will be held in several Swiss cities. Topics of the workshops will be due diligence, term sheets or supporting and managing Boards of early-stage technology companies.

These intensive master classes focus on best practices and operational aspects. The limited group size allows participants to raise questions and discuss issues with peers and specialists. Speakers are experienced investors and business angels like Balz Roth (Go Beyond), Diego Braguglia (VI Partners) or Peter Pfister. Every workshop will be completed by participation to a start-up pitching session. The Angel Days provide also a unique networking opportunity with peers from all over Switzerland.

The first workshops will be about due diligence. The module focuses on some of the situations faced by business angels investing in seed capital and how to evaluate projects and perform due diligence. The course will include subjects such as determinants for value, due diligence processes, interpersonal relationships. It will focus on practical implications, some cases studies are included in the program. Participants will be invited to select in advance 4 topics from the content. The course will be addressing these in details.

The workshops about due diligence followed by a pitching session will be held in Lausanne on 22 May and in Zurich on 5 June. More information and registration on the website of the Angel Days.
