Microsoft Switzerland’s new AI Tech Accelerator awaits applications

Swiss startups developing software solutions that leverage artificial intelligence technology are invited to submit their applications for the newly launched Microsoft for Startups AI Tech Accelerator. Commencing from 12 February to 5 March 2024, selected startups will benefit from unparalleled technical support, including exclusive access to cutting-edge OpenAI models. This accelerator program is poised to significantly boost the development of their solutions.

The Microsoft for Startups AI Tech Accelerator is a four-week program dedicated to Swiss startups offering innovations capable of supporting business transformation by leveraging the power of artificial intelligence (AI). Microsoft is inviting technical co-founders and technology leads to apply to join the pilot cohort starting on 12 February 2024. The program will combine the best of Microsoft’s technologies and experts to enable startups to develop and deploy their technological AI potential. The goal is to accelerate the startups’ product development time.

In the first edition, which also serves as pilot, the organizing committee will select a up to 8 startups to join the free program. Selected startups will receive technical and business support from Microsoft to accelerate their product development time using the capabilities of Azure OpenAI or other Microsoft AI technology bricks; they will get access to the latest OpenAI models (GPT 3.5, GPT 4), mentors and topic expert in the field of AI and the possibility to take advantage of the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub benefits.

To qualify for the program, applicants must fulfil the following criteria: They should have a viable post-MVP solution with at least one customer reference, a B2B SaaS or highly scalable B2C software solution and they should have identified their AI use case. Regarding infrastructure, the startup’s solution must be developed on Microsoft Azure, or startups should have the intention to migrate.

Building on top of the existing benefits such as Azure Cloud credits, free access to development tools and startup-friendly offers from Microsoft partners, we will additionally be providing specialized tools and expertise to accelerate AI startups' product development time”, explained Maruscha Heyner, Partner Manager VC & Accelerators.
