Start-ups for Seed Night at EPFL selected

The Seed night at EPFL organised by A3 Angels will take place on 22 May. In the afternoon an “Angel Day” will be staged, a master class on investments in early-stage technology companies. The Seed Night will start at 17:30. At the start-up corner visitors can get in touch with several young companies. Talks will start at 18:30. The impressive list of speakers:

• Sebastian Friess, Head of Innovation unit at the State Secretariat for education, research and innovation.
• Alfred Yoakim, Head of System Technology Centre, Nestlé
• Nader Donzel, Co-founder, General Manager Business Unit, Biocartis
• Claude Florin, President A3 Angels

 The talks will be followed by pitches.Six entrepreneurs from EPFL, HES-SO and Suisse Romande Universities in medtech, information technologies, energy, selected by a panel of experts and moderated by Antoine Ghosn, member of the Committee at A3 Angels will present their companies. The selected start-ups in alphabetical order:

• Amal Therapeutics, cancer vaccines using peptide vectors
• Domosafety, elderly home infrastructure
• Morphotonix, colours without additives for holographic effects
• Nanolive, microscopy of living cells
• OsmoBlue, low temperature residual heat capture for the recycling of waste heat
• Sophia Genetics, DNA clinical test analysis and storage

The seed night provides an excellent networking opportunity with peers from all over Switzerland. The event is aimed at new and experienced investors and business angels and at entrepreneurs looking for investors.
