Start-ups can apply for the seif Awards from today. Winners will receive a prize money of CHF 10’000 each. In addition awardees and finalists gain access to the Global Impact Forum.
In the fifth year since its creation, the seif Awards for Social Entrepreneurship have become the biggest Swiss business plan competition in the area of Social Entrepreuneurship. The Awards go to Swiss and international projects presenting an innovative business model which responds to social challenges. A reputable jury, combined of experts from start-up and science backgrounds, appoints the awardees. This year, the awardees receive a prize money of CHF 10’000 each in different categories. Furthermore, the awardees as well as the finalists gain access to the renowned Global Impact Forum. Additionally, the Awards ceremony which will be held on 6 October 2015 at the Limmathall in Zurich will put the finalists onto the start-up stage and increase chances to connect with investors.
Applications for the seif Awards are accepted from today until closing date and only if handed in via the form on the website.
The jury focuses on the following criteria during the evaluation of applications:
- Professional skills of the project team
- Innovation of the project
- Social / ecological impact
- Quality of the business model and financing
- Replicability and scale
After a pre-selection process the most promising projects will be invited to Zurich between 17 and 25 August to pitch before the jury. The winners of the pitch will be invited to the presentation of the seif Award. Application is open until 30 June 2015.
