Leadership change to drive growth

With four executive roles, Invenda Group welcomed the largest number of executives to help drive its international growth. Similarly,  YmmunoBio, Kandou Bus and Nexxiot had a change of leadership with new leads for operations, business development and technical departments. 

Following its $19 million Series B funding round, Invenda Group AG a provider of automated retail solutions has appointed four executives as the company accelerates growth in North America. Each addition brings vision, expertise, and relationships that will help strengthen Invenda’s foothold in the market, paving the way to replicate its European market leadership.  

  • Andreas Pfluger, chief executive officer of North America, brings more than three decades of experience in the food and beverages industry. He is the former U.S. CEO for Lindt & Sprüngli. He will operationally lead our North American business as the company grows its market presence.
  • Urs Reinhard, chief growth officer, brings over 20 years of expertise as a partner and managing director at Boston Consulting Group. He will lead sales, marketing, public relations, and customer success to drive global growth. 
  • Mark Crandell, managing director of North America, brings more than 25 years of experience, having previously led companies like Sonos, TiVo and Sony in the U.S.His new role involves driving Invenda’s continued growth in North America, guiding business development and the go to market strategy. 
  • Gregory Byers, chief of staff, brings a background with global brands including McDonald's, LVMH Group and Amgen. He will lead global operating model transformation at Invenda to drive impact at scale.

Ymmuno Bio - Chief Operating Officer  
Ymmunobio, a preclinical stage biotech company specializing in the development of innovative treatments for cancer patients, has appointed Martin E. Zuzulo as its new Chief Operating Officer, stepping in for Interim COO Peter Schiemann, who remains as Chairman of the Board for Ymmunobio. Zuzulo’s career has been focused on helping biopharmaceutical and medical device companies improve their R&D capabilities, focusing on their quality, clinical, and regulatory environments, as well as their GxP operations. He previously served in manufacturing and process development roles at Biogen and in executive positions across both industry-specific (Parexel) and life sciences practices at several leading management consulting organizations (IBM, PwC, Accenture). Marty's extensive experience in helping biopharmaceutical companies improve their R&D capabilities - focusing on quality, clinical, and regulatory environments - will be a great support for our novel and first-in-class antibody research.

Kandou Bus – Vice President of Sales and Business Development
Thomas Boudrot has joined Kandou Bus, a specialist in high-speed, energy-efficient chip-to-chip link solutions that improve the way the world connects and communicates, as Vice President of Sales and Business Development, bringing more than 20 years of experience in strategic and operational sales experience. He joined from AMD Xilinx, a technology and semiconductor company that primarily supplied programmable logic devices. The company is known for inventing the first commercially viable field-programmable gate array (FPGA) and creating the first fabless manufacturing model. There, he led a Global team, where he was responsible for developing and managing major tier 1 EMEA Telecommunication Accounts on a Worldwide basis through the creation of strong partnerships. Under his management, data center accounts achieved double-digit growth year on year, due to his results-driven mentality and successful strategy to promote Xilinx solutions in new markets such as AI & ML, Fintech, Big Data Analytics, Video, and HPC. Before joining Xilinx, Thomas worked as ASIC Field Application Engineer at IBM Technology Group, where he drove the promotion of ASIC and system-on-chip (SoC) solutions to telecom accounts in EMEA.

Nexxiot - Head of Technical Department
Roger Gloor is joining Nexxiot, a global TradeTech company as the new Head of Technical Department. Roger Gloor was responsible for Bertschi AG's operations and for facilitating innovation for strategically important customers around the globe, including in Turkey, China, and along the New Silk Road with intermodal services via rail, road, and maritime to the chemical industry. Bertschi AG has a workforce of more than 3'200 employees in 38 countries. In his most recent position as Deputy Head of Technical Department, Gloor was in charge of 42'000 tank and dry-bulk containers. Among other things, he designed and developed three types of ISO tank containers and supervised the sourcing and production of 22'000 units in cooperation with Welfit Oddy, CIMC, JJAP, SPIC, and NTtank. In 2016, his dedication to improving the safety of tank container operations was acknowledged by APAC Logistics. He was invited to the 'Hall of Fame' for his ISO tank container design.  Roger Gloor is President of the Association of Swiss Tank Cleaning Systems (VSTRA). The Association advocates the sustainable use of materials and resources for reduced CO2 emissions and improved sustainability.
