Cooala selected for WebSummit Alpha Program

Coola will present its app for the playful and controlled interaction between brands and their fans at the Websummit Dublin to 7000 attendees. The start-up from Biel was selected for the Alpha program and gets a free exhibition stand. It’s still possible to apply for the Alpha program so other Swiss start-ups will maybe follow.

The Websummit taking place End of October in Dublin is a global gathering of the world's leading thinkers and doers in technology. It's not just a gathering of the planet's leading startups and technology companies, but of businesses, large and small, who are being impacted by new technologies. This year over 7,000 attendees will make the trip from all corners of the globe to hear from over 300 speakers across dozens of stages, workshops and roundtables catered to every sector.

Some of the world’s largest and most innovative companies will be exhibiting at the Summit, demonstrating their latest technologies, products and services. They will joined by investors and bloggers and journalists from some of the world’s most influential tech news outlets.

Each week the Summit selects 10 early stage start-ups from around the world to exhibit for free as part the Websummit Alpha Program. Selected start-ups are paying only the price of two ordinary tickets, €495 each, and they'll get a free exhibition stand, along with two tickets and a lot more.

One of the selected start-ups is cooala. Cooala is a mobile App for playful and controlled interaction between brands and their fans. Cooala offers its users:

  • a playful way to rate brands and share with friends
  • the opportunity to discover thousands of new brands, soon also locally
  • a way to collect their favorite brands in Brandboards
  • the ability to subscribe to brands they love, receiving product news, event invitations, samples, coupons, gifts, and more. No spam - only what they’ve subscribed to.
  • complete control over their contact with companies


At the same time cooala offers companies contact with high affinity target groups without waste, an unobtrusive, playful communication channel to existing and new fans, anonymous market research data about brands and a highly efficient tool to launch campaigns easily and quickly with a target oriented approach.
