Uepaa! receives international recognition

Following a successful showcase at ISPO Munich, the leading international sports industry trade show, Uepaa! Swiss Alpine Technology has been shortlisted for the 19th Global Mobile Awards in the category of Best Use of Mobile in Emergency or Humanitarian Situations. This news marks yet another important milestone in the short history of the young startup, as international roll-out continues.

More than 175 independent analysts, journalists, academics and subject matter experts throughout the world participated in the judging process. Michael O’Hara, Chief Marketing Officer, GSMA states: “The GSMA warmly congratulates all those nominated in the 2014 Global Mobile Awards. We saw a record level of interest in the Global Mobile Awards this year, with more than 680 quality submissions, making it a very challenging task for our judges to select the short list. We very much look forward to recognising the winners at Mobile World Congress next month.”

The winners will be announced at the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, in a ceremony held on Tuesday 25th February 2014. Aside from the ceremony, Uepaa! can be found exhibiting alongside other innovative startups in the Swiss Pavilion.
