Investiere Closes 7-Digit Financing Round

The majority of Verve Capital Partners’ existing shareholders participated in this capital increase, but the company also invited some of its best clients to partake, which led to a significant oversubscription. In addition, Ecosystem Ventures, a Silicon Valley based VC Fund also took a stake in the company. “We have already invested in MicroVentures and AngelList,” explains Alex Fries, the founder and president of Ecosystem Ventures, “and I believe that investiere is uniquely positioned to become the leading European online startup investment platform.”

Three renowned industry experts also joined investiere’s board of directors. Peter Quadri, Ulrich Radlmayr and Michel Kaufmann.

Peter Quadri is a member of several boards of directors. From 1998 until 2006, he was the CEO of IBM Switzerland.

Ulrich Radlmayr is a former member of the Board of Directors and CFO of Aurelius AG, one of Germany’s leading private equity companies. He has a strong track-record especially with regard to demanding restructurings and enabling successful exits.

Michel Kaufmann serves as the Deputy CEO and Chief Marketing Officer of jobs.ch, one of the most successful Swiss ICT companies that was sold to Ringier and Tamedia in 2012.
