Innosuisse's Startup Trainings are subject to the WTO Agreement and are therefore put to tender at regular intervals. The Swiss Innovation Agency has taken the opportunity of the new call to partially redesign the trainings. Tender documents can now be downloaded from Simap.

According to the Federal Act on the Promotion of Research and Innovation (RIPA), Innosuisse may provide awareness-raising and training activities for the promotion of science-based entrepreneurship. The focus of the training modules is on raising awareness of entrepreneurship, developing entrepreneurial skills, networking with like-minded and drawing attention to the subsequent Innosuisse instruments.

Innosuisse has built up a strong position in the promotion of science-based start-ups. The strong involvement in the national start-up ecosystems as well as Innosuisse's comprehensive insight into the regional start-up ecosystems in Switzerland have made the "Innosuisse Start-up Training" programme successful.

The start-up trainings are re-tendered at regular intervals. The time has come again and Innosuisse has published the relevant documents on the procurement platform Simap. The purpose of this call for tenders is to select competent, reliable and high-performance providers who offer the "Innosuisse Start-up Training" modules and successfully promote and run them on behalf of Innosuisse." Service providers have until 3 November to apply.

Innosuisse has taken the tender as an opportunity to partially redesign the "Innosuisse Start-up Training" according to current and future needs.

  • The courses in Modules 1, 2 and 2a are offered regionally and coordinated closely with relevant higher education institutions and start-up ecosystems of a region in order to attract students and potential entrepreneurs from all over Switzerland.
  • Module 3 is organised on a national level and focuses more on the specific fields in which start-ups are active, both to obtain relevant insights regarding the topics they are tackling and to connect with relevant industry players.
  • Module 4 is a module in which courses (workshops) can be booked according to the participant’s individual level of knowledge.
  • An additional Module 0 offers digital content with the aim of raising awareness among a broad public about the potential career path of an entrepreneur

The "Innosuisse Start-up Training" will be launched as a national programme. For the awareness-raising phase (modules 1, 2 and 2a) however, regional proximity to the existing ecosystem is important, therefore this part of the programme will be carried out in six regions ("North", "East", "Southeast", "South", "West", "Central") and the call for proposals for these modules will be carried out in six lots accordingly.
