Entrepreneurship Sports Generation – Transmutex
The Bronze medal awarded at the Entrepreneurship Sports Generation (ESG) went to Geneva-based Transmutex. The jury and the audience selected the 12 best startups worldwide for the ESG Global award, a unique sportified entrepreneurship competition with a participation of over 600,000 entrepreneurs in over 190 countries, and 12 Global finalists. Transmutex aims to reinvent nuclear energy from the first principles by accelerating the energy transition by converting nuclear energy into green energy. They emphasize multiple Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) including Providing Affordable And Clean Energy (SDG 7), Climate Action (SDG 13), Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12) and Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11).

Siemens MindSphere Future Mobility Hack – Exomotion
The jury of the MindSphere Future Mobility Hack chose EPFL spinoff Exomotion as the winner for their outstanding IoT solution. For the competition, held at the Dubai Expo, Exomotion, the provider of robotic transportation services in indoor environments such as airports and hospitals, showcased ALLURE, its autonomous electric wheelchair that was connected and operated in MindSphere to safely navigate passengers with reduced mobility (PRM) through airports. The team used MindSphere as the main cloud platform for monitoring and managing the devices and IoT sensors and actuators in the environment.

Gilytics joins the Esri Partner Network Program
Pathfinder, a GIS cloud solution developed by Gilytics was designed to automate the design, planning and routing of infrastructure. Pathfinder helps clients with a spatial optimization engine to automate manual processes in the design and planning of the energy, transportation, and telecommunication infrastructure. In addition, the same solution is used for improving and easing stakeholder engagement and public participation. As a participant in the Esri Partner Network Program, Gilytics also partners with ArcGIS, Esri's web-based mapping software. The partnership provides perfect integration of data services and customised technology in the ArcGIS system. Pathfinder clients include utilities, engineering and energy sector organizations that have also used Esri products, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online, in their design and planning processes for decades. This integration will provide a seamless connection with ArcGIS where users will be able to benefit from both technologies.

Techstars Torino Cities of the Future Accelerator program – Hive Power
The inaugural class of the Techstars Torino Cities of the Future Accelerator is composed of 12 high-potential companies from Italy, Germany, the UK, Hungary, Ukraine, France, Switzerland, and Romania. Hive Power from Bellinzona, Switzerland is among the 12 selected participants. The cleantech startup’s platform Flexibility Orchestrator is a SaaSSmart Grid Analytics and Flexibility Management solution for Energy Suppliers and Grid Operators. The platform helps the industry participants to improve their operations, using data-driven and AI-powered solutions.

SXSW Pitch finalist – Mictic
Augmented Reality wearable startup Mictic is one of the five finalists in the SXSW Pitch in the category of Extended Reality & Immersive. SXSW Pitch 2022 will take place on March 12th and 13th in Austin, TX. The product, Mictic One, is a pair of wristbands that use patented spatial mapping to translate arm movements into sound: Instruments (like cello, guitar, piano, drums) and soundscapes (hip hop, trap, EDM, Latin, rock and more). No headsets, no wires, and no music lessons: anyone can play via Bluetooth on their smartphone instantly.
