Geosatis has developed a highly secure electronic bracelet for monitoring of offenders. The company has won venture kick Phase III.

The founders of Geosatis, Jose Demetrio, Urs Hunkeler and James Colli-Vignarelli, start a new era of electronic monitoring. The startup of the Canton of Jura developed an electronic bracelet for monitoring of offenders. The innovative GPS technology locates the person to be monitored with high reliability and precision. The system is capable of registering or detecting virtually any radio attack as well as any attempt to remove or harm the electronic components of the system. Until now electronic tags have a relatively low standard of safety. In contrast the Geosatis bracelet can only be opened by an encrypted command from the control panel.

With this new form of monitoring overcrowding in prisons and the cost of social reintegration can be reduced. In September a new pilot projects will be launched in Switzerland.

"The fact that we won venture kick, shows that our product is convincing respected financial experts. This award allows us to accelerate our commercial activities in Switzerland and around the world”, says co-founder Urs Hunkeler.
