Cofundit is a platform for Crowd financing. Now profiting from it is CSEM spin-off Xemtec, domiciled in Sarnen, canton Obwalden. Founded in 2001, the company needed half a million francs in growth capital.
Cofundit will support Xemtec in raising CHF 500,000 growth financing, in the form of a convertible loan. “We believe this is an exciting opportunity to invest in the rapidly growing sector of smart grids for an improved management of energy-generating resources,” says Cofundit. Xemtec has developed an economical smart metering system that can be adapted to already installed meters, thus allowing utilities to protect their investment and to take advantage of the most straightforward path for migration to Smart Metering.
