Olga Miller (SmartPurse), Myriam Lingg ( macu4) and Xiao Jean Chen (Venture Pole AG) are among the six recipients of the FEMBIZ Award 2021. With their startups and projects, all winners are driving innovative projects in the digital economy and making a lasting impact.

Initiated by the Global Digital Women (GDW) – an international company of digital industry designers – the FemBizSwiss Award recognises female founders and designers from medium-sized companies or large corporations who are driving digitalisation in Switzerland. The second edition, held under the motto "beyond the next level" has awarded six women in six categories: communication, IT-Tech, Diversity, Innovation, Leadership and Digital Transformation.

Among the six winners are three females that are active in the Swiss startup scene. These are:

Olga Miler, CEO SmartPurse, category Communication
After 12 years in a corporate career at UBS, Millar has established her own businesses, bringing financial education initiative to women through Women & Money blog in collaboration with Watson News and the startup SmartPurse, an independent digital financial education toolkit that enables women to build their financial know-how in a simple, understandable and motivating way. The startup now reaches over 1'000 women in England and Switzerland.

Myriam Lingg CEO macu4, category IT-Tech
At Macu4, Lingg is developing innovative orthopaedic solutions by providing easy, fast, and gentle access to lightweight & breathable 3D printed devices based on parametric models. The startup’s first parameter-based design is a passive functional forearm prosthesis for children and adults. It is a customized solution with a focus on sports and recreational activities. The design was developed together with the users.

Xiao Jean Chen, CEO & Founder Venture Pole AG, category Diversity
As a business and technology hybrid, Chen founded VenturePole a venture investment platform and venture capital firm that builds smart tools to make venture capital faster, better and equitable with the aim of helping female founders and founders of colour raise funds.
