Innosuisse announces participants in the Israel exchange programme

The Israel-Swiss Lean Launchpad program is a three-week exchange program developed by a coalition of leading Swiss, Israeli, and U.S. institutions including Innosuisse, IIA, JDA, Merage Institute and Swissnex. The program aims to provide startups with real-world, hands‐on learning enabling them to transform their ideas into great products based on the principles of the renowned Lean Start-up methodology pioneered by Steve Blank and further refined by Eric Ries, Alexander Osterwalder and most recently Marc Gruber. Besides workshops, the startups will have access to Israeli start-up accelerator programmes, meet and cooperate with Israeli peers and fully immerse themselves into the vibrant start-up ecosystem in Israel.

Innosuisse has announced six high-tech startups to participate in the program. They are:

Hi-D Imaging – developed a novel medical imaging tool that allows cardiologists to select a tailored heart valve for each patient before cardiac surgery. This not only increases the success rate of the aortic valve replacement surgery, but it also decreases the complications after the surgery.

Terapet – the CERN spinoff developed a monitoring device that dramatically improves the precision of proton therapy, an advanced form of radiotherapy for treating cancer. The device consists of a detector that is placed near a patient to measure the position of protons in the patient’s body tissue in real-time. 

Risklick – aims to develop a first-of-the-kind data-driven tool to allow end-users to identify similar Clinical trials (CTs) and assess risks in early steps of the protocol design. CTs are used to determine the efficacy and safety of an experimental treatment; however, up to 90% of them fail in the early stage of protocol design and the nature and complexity of CTs make risk assessment difficult and time-consuming. The new platform is envisioned to change this.

OneDoc – founded by Arthur Germain und Alexandre Curreli, the startup developed a platform to enable patients to find a doctor, dentist or therapist and book an appointment online in just a few clicks. For health professionals, the platform allows them to reduce mundane administrative tasks and become more efficient. The platform is now p and running.

Vay Sports – the spin-off startup from the University of Zurich developed an app that leverages computer vision artificial intelligence to help users to improve their posture in real-time while training at home. Thanks to the availability f a virtual coach, users can stay motivated and yield better results as well. The app is already available in the market.

MovementScience – developing an intelligent and portable rehabilitation diagnostic device for the spine to help seniors to compensate for the lack of vertebral movement while in a recumbent position. Based on its diagnostic function, the device collects and analyses data (BIG DATA), regulates itself in real-time, digitises and personalises the rehabilitation of the spine (KI). Consequently, it relieves pain, improves mobility and autonomy of in- and out-patients.
