Fasteris awarded prestigious Prix de la Jeune Industrie 2011

Fasteris has received the "Prize of the Young Industry 2011" of the State of Geneva. Mr. Pierre-François Unger, Conseiller d'Etat (Minister), said that Fasteris was rewarded for its dynamism, spirit of openness, high level of innovation and contribution to fame of the state economy.

Fasteris is a biotech company located in Geneva, Switzerland. The company was founded in 2003 by Laurent Farinelli and Magne Osteras. Fasteris provides custom services for industrial or academic research laboratories. The company is active in different fields of molecular biology such as genome sequencing.

In his speech at the award ceremony CEO Laurent Farinelli stressed that Fasteris is an atypical Biotech company. The start-up does not demand money for services that do not achieve results. On top of that Fasteris is not financed by venture capitalists, and has never spent money for advertising. Nevertheless Fasteris has grown to a company with more than 20 employees and has today customers around the world.
