Various leaders have assumed C-level responsibility for some of Switzerland’s tech startups to drive them through the next growth phase. Two startups welcomed new CEO, while four appointed a CFO, CBO and COOs. The Investor group SNGLR appointed a General Partner.

Airconsole – from CTO to CEO
Developed by N-Dream, AirConsole is a hybrid cloud-gaming solution that allows individuals and multiple players to play over 180 games on their Television or computer using their mobile phones as a gamepad. With more than 15 million players, the company anticipates growing its Android TV user base to 2 million this summer. The newly appointed Chief Executive Officer, Anthony Cliquot will support the company in reaching its growth ambitions.

Anthony joined AirConsole as Chief Operating Officer and Head of Strategic Partnerships to ensure global distribution of the gaming platform on the Android TV ecosystem. This strategy has been successful with closing numerous partnerships, including with tech giants such as Amazon Fire TV, Xiaomi and Huawei, local telcos and other pay-TV operators. To accelerate this growth on TV and adapt even better to the ever-changing technical environment, Andrin von Rechenberg will also take over as Chief Technology Officer and will focus on further developing the user experience on bigger screens, in both living rooms and cars.

Locatee – Co-CEOs
Myriam Locher (Chief Revenue Officer) and Benedikt Köppel (co-founder and CTO) have been appointed to step up as co-CEOs at Locatee, the startup dedicated to accelerating the workplace analytics market. Köppel incorporated Locatee with Thomas Kessler (former CEO) in 2015, and he has strongly contributed to leading Locatee to its current leading position in the market. Locher joined after several successful entrepreneurial experiences to bring organizational excellence to the company and imprint customer obsession to Locatee’s operations. As co-CEOs, Myriam Locher and Benedikt Köppel combine their product and revenue expertise. They steer Locatee to serve its global customer base by providing new, innovative technology solutions to cater to a growing demand for workplace solutions, thereby positioning the company to stand out to investors in the proptech market.

Nym Technologies – ex BNP Paribas joins as CFO
Andrei Serjantov, former Head of Electronic Credit Trading and Head of Flow Credit Quantitative Research at BNP Paribas has joined Nym as CFO. The crypto startup focuses on building the next generation of privacy infrastructure. Bringing sixteen years of financial experience to the world of privacy-focused tokens, Serjantov will work closely with the team to develop its privacy infrastructure. He will focus on its multi-purpose mixnet that helps enable privacy for any application, as well as the underlying finances of their NYM token.

Algotrader – ex- ZKB executive becomes COO
AlgoTrader, the global leader in institutional trading technology for digital assets, has welcomed Marc Heissenbüttel as Chief Operating Officer. The former BCG consultant and Zürcher Kantonalbank executive will oversee the global delivery and scaling of the company to further increase its growth rate. AlgoTrader’s executive board now consists of founder and CEO Andy Flury, COO Marc Heissenbüttel, CTO Bartosz Wójcik, CMO Felix Saible, and CFO Stefan Koller.

Anjarium Biosciences – two executives assume their roles
Biotech startup Anjarium Biosciences has grown its executive team with the appointment of Samantha Vieira as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Nate Massari as Chief Business Officer (CBO). Vieira brings 18 years’ broad experience in the biopharmaceutical industry spanning early- to late-stage R&D and pre-launch planning, within roles across program management, cross-functional leadership, strategy and operations. Massari has over 20 years of experience in strategy, sales and marketing, pipeline product development and corporate development across the biopharmaceutical industry. He was recently the Executive Vice President of Rare Disease Operations at Aytu BioPharma.

SNGLR – new General Partner
SNGLR Capital AG is the venture capital entity within SNGLR Group and is focused on investments in the sectors longevity and smart mobility/ smart cities, and leading exponential technologies such as AI or blockchain. The company has welcomed Ulrich Knopp as General Partner to support in the identification of investors and international investment opportunities. His roles also include consistent venture building and leveraging his broad network to help companies grow sustainably. Knopp brings 30+ years of professional banking experience within investment banking, wealth- and fund management and private equity. Additionally, he is an experienced venture capital and private equity investor himself. Besides his general sector know-how, he has focused on bio- and medtech as well as sustainable technologies in energy generation and smart mobility/infrastructure.
