The interest for investors in Swiss start-ups is remarkable. This week alone, ten Swiss start-ups announced the closing of financing rounds. The Top 100 Swiss Startup Award magazine allows a look at the other side of investments – the exits.
As holidays are coming closer, you might need something to read. If you want to use the time to gain a deeper understanding of the Swiss startup ecosystem, the Top 100 magazine is a good option. It includes not only longer or shorter texts about the selected startups but also additional information for example a longer article about the deep nation Switzerland. In addition, Beekeeper CEO Cristian Grossmann speaks in an interview about the growth of his company and a possible IPO.
Speaking of exits: An infographic in the magazine shows which Top 100 companies had been acquired or went public in the last years. The graphic provides information about the acquiring company – an impressive list with names including Apple, Intel, Logitech, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson and Magic Leap. In total, 36 of the Top 100 companies have been acquired. Two companies (Biocartis and Crispr) went public. In addition, the infographic shows the age of the start-up at the time of the acquisition.
